Shareradio is a webradio born in 2010 in the west peripheral area of Milan. Today is a nonprofit association founded in 2015 to promote media education and citizen journalism as strategies to enhance social coesion fighting xenophobia and racism involving a large network radio production.
Shareradio associates are educators, psychologists, experts of communication (radio and video production), web developers, researchers. They all work for social inclusion using media as instrument of social transformation.


The organization model is the network between informal editorial structures all publishing on the same portal involving kids, teens, people with fewer opportunities, mental health operators and patients, people with experiences of detention.

Shareradio offers a different view on Milano, from the bottom, that puts in center people experiences.
Shareradio promotes media education workshops in schools, educational institution, day care centers involving hosts and operators to support new informal editorial structures. The network today counts 25 groups using radio and video to self-represent and tell.

Shareradio works with different non-profit organizations to help participatory narrative and communication processes.
Shareradio collaborates with different national radio broadcasting to spread the production of the editorial structures. Shareradio published audio documentary on national radio RAI Radio 3, and have a weekly radio programme on Radio Popolare Milano named “La pillola va giù” telling the Milan transformation through teens form peripheral areas point of view.
